Livestock Diseases & Their Impact on Sustainable Production
The 4th Central Zone Conference and National Symposium “Livestock Diseases and their Impact on Sustainable Production” was held on 5th and 6th October, 2021. The event was jointly organized and vacillated by Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologists (IAVP) and Department of Veterinary Pathology College of Veterinary Science & A.H., Rewa, Madhya Pradesh-486001 (Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, Jabalpur). The objective of this symposium were to provide a re-appraised of the impact of various livestock diseases viz. bacterial, viral, fungal, and haemo-protozoan and theirinfluence on productivity of animals. Livestock are important in supporting the livelihoods of poor farmers, consumers and labourers throughout the developing world. Animal diseases have been considered a crucial constraint in the livestock production systems. The symposium was provided a suitable platform for all participants to exchange their knowledge, research findings and to gain an understanding on diseases of animals, birds and aqua culture and their effect on sustainable production, through deliberations and discussions in a series of scientific sessions.The scientific sessions was included key note address, lead papers, contributory research papers and poster presentations. Orations of experts in the respective fields and their interaction with young budding researchers were very useful for the participants and the papers contained in this souvenir/compendium will reach to a larger audience as this compendium contains extraordinary full paper and other common Indian diseases in livestock’s and poultry.
