Synopsis

About the authors

C.B. Patil

C.B. Patil, Assistant Superintending archaeologist, in the Archaeological Survey of India, is an active field worker and a keen researcher. He has participated in various excavations-Vadagaon-Madhavapur, Hampi National Project, Halebid, Banawali and Banahalli. He was a member of the Indian team that undertook explorations and excavations in Maldive Islands (1987). He also had been to Sevilla (Spain) in connectioin with ‘Expo-92 Universal Exhibition’ in 1992.

Vinay Kumar

Vinay Kumar, a renowned teacher of textiles did his postgraduate diploma in textiles design in 1974. He has over twenty-five years' experience in the garment and textile industry. He has organised many national as well as international seminars, symposia and workshops on textiles and has been honoured widely for his significant contributions to the field. As a prolific writer, he her contributed many learned articles in various journals and magazines and also authored a number of books in the subject. Currently is working with many pedagogical as well as industrial institutions as a consultant and adviser.
