Ananda Marga Elementary Philosophy
Ananda Marga is the elementary philosophy of the Ananda Marga Mission. It was the first-published of the more than two hundred books of Shrii Shri Anandamurti, and continues to hold its place as an introduction to his entire philosophy. Its specialty is the use of formal, though simple, logic to make an utterly convincing case for the existence of Supreme Consciousness and the need of spiritual practice. There is another "I" which is the possessing "T", or the "1" which knows that there is a mind. The existence of "I" in the mind only proves that there is another real entity which is beyond mind and which knows the existence of mind. This "I" which is the wit- messing entity and witnesses the existence of mind and the existence of the feeling of "I", is called atman, or unit consciousness. Thus through introspection and concentrated thinking one observes that a/man and mind, that is, unit consciousness and mind, are two separate entities.
