Misra, M.A. in A.I.H.C. and Archaeology from Gorakhpur University, is the Publication Officer in the office of the Directorate of Archaeology, Archives and Museums, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Member of many learned societies and Associate/ Joint editor of several significant publications, including the departmental journal, Puratan, Dangwada Excavation Report. Khujuraho in Perspective, Vidisha, Ratlam, Shajapur, K.D Bajpai Commemoration volume, the author of Mother Goddess in Central Indiaand Iconography of Saptamatrkas. Dr. Misra has participated in many excavations in Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh, and contributed articles to different journals on the Art and Architecture of Madhya Pradesh.
