The commentary cites from hundreds of Sanskrit works as attestations to the words in the Amarakosa. There are 887 such citations in Subhuticandra's commentary quoted from 177 works. Besides, the author quotes at least 336 passages from fifty-three grammatical works and around 87 citations from forty lexicons. This is the highest number of citations ever found in a commentary on the Amarakosa.
