Technology is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. It is central to many sectors of society and its integration into education process has great promise for teaching and learning. Education process in a technology enhanced environment is stimulating and engaging. Various forms of technology mediated educational process in India are described here. Also included here some of IT and ICT initiatives taken by Indian Government. Though some ethical questions and issues are also arising yet one can expect efficiency and effectiveness in country's education system.
