When change is rapid, preparation is key – this should be the mantra for the students. Youngsters, aspiring to be a part of the future workforce, should be prepared to work in volatile, uncertain, competitive and ambiguous (VUCA) world and learn to adapt continually throughout their professional lives. Higher education institutes should not just look at equipping our students with the skills and knowledge they will need immediately to be competitive and successful in the automated world. It is also the job of the universities and colleges to make the students flexible, adaptable, innovative and experimental in an age where job profiles will continually change. In the latest edition, we went all out to explore the ever-changing world of education which is transforming for the better. The traditional blackboards are replaced by slides, projectors and whiteboards. Teachers are not just routinely addressing a classroom, but are popping out of the computer screens and smartphones to teach the student sitting in any corner of the world. Students are no longer learning through books but sometimes through an App – an idea that was laughed at for long. Since students have become demanding, it is now the duty of the educational institutions to think of innovative ideas to create leaders of tomorrow who would imbibe both the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit to face future challenges.
