About the authors

Shri Prakash

Shri Prakash is currently Professor, Academy of Third World Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia. He completed his M.Phil. at. JNU and Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. He has worked on various peace and development issues concerning Third World countries. He has edited a number of books, the most recent of which are Towards Understanding the Kashmir Crrisis, and insights into Indian Polity, 1971-1994 (2 vols.); he has also published numerous papers in international journals and in various books on a range of contemporary issues.

Vanita Ray

Dr. Vanita Ray is a Reader in the Academy of Third World Studies.

Sanjay Ambatkar

Dr. Sanjay Ambatkar is presently working on a post-doctoral research fellowship granted by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. His work is on "India-southeast Asia: Economic Relations, 1985-1995.
