The life style of these primitive tribes and beautiful landscape, make Bastar a must visit place on the tourist's itinerary. It's an area travelled by WV Grigson, Thomson and Verrier Elwin, the great anthropologists from Europe, When East India Company ruled India before independence. This book throws light on integrated development strategy of Bastar region of Chhattisgarh to attract global tourists. It is basically a master planning for the holistic development of Tribal region from the point of view of Ethno and Eco Tourism in a sustainable manner. Dr. Sanjay Singh serving as Government servant for more than 30 years in various fields. He started his career with Gramin Bank in Damoh as a finance officer in 1983 and later joined the tourism industry in 1986. Presently working as General Manager, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Raipur. Started his schooling from Sainik School Rewa, shifted to Christ Church, Jabalpur and then to St. Joseph's Allahabad. Infect he is a product of the first batch of ICSE in 1975. A science graduate and a post graduate diploma holder in Travel and Tourism. Also a trained professional of NABARD in project formulation and refinance. Has done his Master degree in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing and Doctorate in a study of Ethno and Eco Tourism in sustainable form of Bastar Region.
