Tourism industry has emerged as one of the leading service industries in the global economy in recent decades. Economic flows generated by international tourism have become vital factors in economic growth and international economic relations in many developing countries. As one of the world’s largest economic sectors, Tourism and Travel creates job, drives exports, and generates prosperity across the world. The estimations of UNWTO states, the international tourist arrivals will cross 1 Billion mark by 2030. Emerging economics will add on average 30 million arrivals a year compared to 14 million by advanced economics. The merging economies destinations are expected to grow at double the pace (4.4 per cent) of advance economics (2.2 per cent). Such statistical data encourages developing economies to take touristic activities earnestly. At the same time the economies need to be cautious about relevant issues pertaining to sustainability, including innovation and competitiveness, appropriate human resource talent, competitive marketing strategies etc. In nutshell, it needs to be kept in mind that for all proposed policies pertaining to tourism for any emerging economy, demand and supply factors need to be revisited in the contemporary context. This approach will definitely create a support line for the growth and also accelerate the revenue of the economy.
