About the Book and Author: [Gobinda Biswas (India) has displayed extraordinary poetic skill and an ability to express his perception of multiple aspects of the world: physical (historical), psychological (inner) and spiritual (national). With rich symbolism and occasional philosophical contemplations (Kill us not, we are Trees), this very talented poet considers a great variety of topics, ideas and messages, ranging from personal and family life (Mother and Child) to metaphysical, patriotic and emotional (Human Mind, the Biggest Dump). In free verse, dialogue and broken rhythm the poet expresses his preoccupation with the world in its entirety, showing that he is not indifferent and passive. He uses activism and ethical responsibility as means to express his dissatisfaction with the given situation. His reactions are, above all, poetic, human and humanistic (The Eternal Refugees), and in their richness they carry numerous poetic figures, pleasant melodies and harmonious images and Greek as well as Roman mythologies. Many poems are written in first person singular, showing the course of the poet's daily life and his perception of everyday things, which largely influences his creativity. His poetic expression is not minimalistic, succinct and concise, meaning that the poet is not prone to wasting words, instead paying attention to every single notion, symbol and meaning. Although some of his poems can be read at once as narrative poetry, since they compose a harmonic logical unity. In the aesthetic sense, the quality of his poems is very consistent, so it is hard to single out any one of them.
