The book focuses on the issue of public speaking by unveiling three areas of training: how an individual can overcome his/her inner obstacles and focus on developing outward presence; how can one can best develop the physical aspects of speech, including posture, breathing, resonance, and articulation; and how to give the final delivery from pauses to storytelling to improve one’s performance. The author has shared such success stories. Lisa Wentz has spent the past decade helping professional and amateur public speakers overcome blocks, develop their voices and craft their delivery. Her background includes extensive study in psychology and ten years of professional acting training and live performance. She moved to London, UK, to earn a master’s degree in Voice and Speech Studies at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Upon returning to the US, she founded the San Francisco Voice Center in 2008 and has since coached public speaking clients from 37 countries.
