She and He: Play
Mizzle is a marginalized figure who craves for her space, not only in her parents’ house but also in her husband’s house. On the other hand, Yashika and Namita are the spectators.
The play represents the fact that many of us are the patrons of the male dominated society where it is wrong to raise daughter’s voice even to her mother (in many cases) because many perceptions have been established by men or by such women who have read a lesson to tolerate all the atrocities committed by men in her home since birth. All want a woman to adjust her in anyway. For her, world is like an open prison where she can feel her slavery but can’t come out from the situation.
In a nut shell, the specialty of the play is to say the real thing about the social concerns of the women’s world in simple and straightforward language.
