Raimon Panikkar, considered one of the greater thinkers of our time, partakes of pluralistic traditions: Indian and European, hindu and Christian, scientific and humanistic.  Former Professor of Religious studies at the Universities of Madrid, Roma, Harvard, and California (Santa Barbara), member of the International Institute of Philosophy, Permanent Tribunal of peoples and UNESCO for intercultural dialogue, he has taken an active part in the cultural and philosophical life of Europe, USA and India.  He has published over fifty books and more than three hundred articles from philosophy of science to metaphysics, comparative religion and indology.  Besides some thirty Ph.D. dissertations have been written on his work.  At present he lives in the little village on the mountains of Catalunya (Spain) attending to his intellectual and contemplative life.
