The Sanafis Movement Al-Qaeda's Newfront
Abdallah Ibrahim al-Sharekh was born 24 October 1984 (1405 AH) in Saudi Arabia, but in 2006 he left to Bahrain and become a member of al-Qaeda. He plotted kidnapping and murder operations in Soudi Arabia, and he became a senior leader of the terrorist group. He later became a commander of the al-Nusra Front in Syria, and he fought in the Syrian Civil War. Al-Qadea's success in resurrecting its global network is the result of three stratrgic moves nade by Zawahiri. The first was to strenth the decentralized franchies approach that has facilitated the movement's survival. Over the years, the leaders and deputies of al-Qaeda's far-flung franchies have been integrated into the movement's deliberative and consultative processes. Today, al-Qaeda is trily "glocal," having effectively incorporated local grievances and concerns into a global narrative that forms the foundation of an all-encompassing grand' strategy. The Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) is an Islamist militant organization which aims to overthrow the Algerian government and institute an Islamic state. To that end, it is currently engaged in an anti-government campaign. The group has declared its intention to attack European, Spanish, French, and American targets. It has been designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. Department of State, and similarly classed as a terrorist organization by the European Union. This book is Sanafi al-Nasr, a Saudi currently active with Khorasan Group in Syria, whose ideological and personal animus toward the United States may influence the dgree to which al-Qaida elements plot international terrorism from Syrian soil. He became active in al-Qaida's Saudi chapter in the early 2000s and establish himself as a prolific online writer.
