Voice of a Dalit: The Poetry of Darla Venkateswara Rao

J. Bheemaiah (Translator)
Synopsis

In recent years, many tribal as also Dalit writers have expressed their life experiences through genres like autobiography, novel, plays and poetry. Critics also believe that women too, regarded by some as 'lesser human beings', have been oppressed in the same manner over the centuries. The present volume addresses all these issues and contributes significantly to the on-going debate on the status of subalterns.
