The main objective of writing the present book is to collect comprehensive information on various aspects of physiology and biotechnology focusing mainly on reproduction, growth, disease control and therapeutics of Penaeid Shrimps. Generally shrimps are inhabiting in seas and come across different types of climatic conditions during their life cycle. Their life span is very short. In order to augment shrimp production in captive conditions one should understand thoroughly various aspects of their growth, reproduction, immune system and disease physiology and also interaction of hormones with various physiological processes.
