Development anthropology refers to the relevance of anthropological perspectives to the multidisciplinary twig of development studies. The split between academic and practical anthropology cemented the way for what was finally recognized to be a basic difference between 'development anthropology' and the 'anthropology of development'. Experts felt Development anthropologists share a promise to concurrently analysis and add to developmental projects and institutions that make and administer western development projects that look to get better social and economic comfortness of the most marginalized sections of the society and to eradicate poverty. Some explain the anthropological analysis of development as one that pits modernization and an abolition of the tradition and culture, but this is too reductive and not the case with the majority of scholarly work. In fact, most anthropologists who work in areas desire close to developmental anthropology focusing economic relief for the people they study as policymakers; however, they are cautious about the assumptions and types on which development interventions are actually based. Through this book the authors have made a humble attempt to throw light on some present day’s issues in Development Anthropology.
