About the author

Derek O'Brien

Derek O’Brien was born in Kolkata. He went to St Xavier’s Collegiate School in the city and St Columba’s School in New Delhi. After graduating in English from Scottish Church College, Kolkata, he began his professional career as a journalist but soon shifted to advertising. Today, he is the host of the longest-running knowledge gameshow on Indian television, The Cadbury Bournvita Quiz Contest. Derek O’Brien won the award for best anchor–Game/Quiz Show at the Hero Honda Indian Television Academy Awards 2003.
