D.S. Sarma

Prof. D S Sarma was a well-known educationist and teacher of English in the first half of the 20th century. But side by side he was also a very lucid and learned exponent of Hindu religion and philosophy, having contributed several articles and books and delivered numerous lectures expounding this theme. Many of these are bound to survive, but the writing that deserves most to be preserved for posterity is the present publication. Born in 1883, Professor D S Sharma , scholar and educationist had his education in the Madras Christian College from which he graduated in 1904. After taking his MA degree in English language and literature, he was throughout his life an educationist moving from one position to another. He has a number of books to his credit.
