Professor Nripesh Podder M A, PhD has lived most of his life in Australia teaching at Queensland University and The University of New South Wales. He has published extensively in academic journals. He also acted as a consultant in various commissions of the Government of Australia in the seventies. His interest in classical Indian literature grew when he studied Sanskrit at Jadavpur University and Bangiya Samskrita Siksha Parishad, West Bengal.
