This book, â€œTeaching of Computer Scienceâ€ is intended for any one who is interested in teaching computer. Computer is known for their attempts to carry on the analytical and scientific study of the data, action and information in relation to the data existence and functioning of the living zones. Actually the progress and development what we see today in our near by world are very much linked with the progress and development in the education world which is turn depends upon the quality of computer science education imparted to our youngsters. It is in this context that we need a quality teacher education in the subject computer science for preparing quality computer science teachers for sharing big responsibility in the schools of our country. The present text claims to provide a desirable ground work for imparting quality teacher education to the world by secondary school teachers of computer sciences. Although at present has been written exclusively with a clear cut objectives of covering the syllabus of â€œMethodology of Teaching Computer Scienceâ€ prescribed by Indian Universities, yet it has sufficient potentiality to meet the needs of the B.Ed./ B.C.A. students of any training/technical institutes of India as well as training schedules of the in service secondary school teachers. The book can also serve as course material for participants of short-term cause conducted by various training organizations. Programmers and others computer professionals will also find the book helpful and informative. The entire concepts presented in the book are illustrated with suitable examples as and when required. This will enable the readers to use the book effectively for self-study. In addition to this each chapter contains a number of review questions and exercises, which are carefully, designed to provide an insight into the subject. How much the attempt has been successful in realizing its believes, you as a reader are the best judge for such evaluation. Almost every aspect of computer education and training program is covered in this book. It is caring thirteen chapters. The author has suggested and given some ideas for further computer training for the learner and beginners who is interested to learn computer in detail, the method is adopted from simple to complex. This book is useful for all the graduate students at every level from school to technical and non-technical training colleges/institutes. He has also suggested that only if there are a large number of idealistic trained teachers and education workers devoted to the cause then the country can solve the computer education problems of each school that are situated in villages and cities.

Dr. Y.K. Singh (b. 1964) obtained his three Post-graduation in 1988 and M.Ed. in 1984 from Meerut University, Meerut. He obtained his Ph.D. in Education from Meerut University in 1992 and started his professional career as a Lecturer in Education in a Teacher's training College, Ajmer (1988-89), Rajasthan University, Jaipur, (1981-91) and has served as a lecture in the department of education from (1991-2000) and Asst. Director, Institute of Information and Science (2002-2003) with In-Charge, Computer Centre from (Sept., 2000 to Nov., 2003), in Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya Vishwavidyalaya, Chitrakoot (Sama), M.P. He has obtained his computer certificates and diploma from the New Horizon's, Lodhi Road, New Dlhi (between 2000 to 2003). It is one of the best institution in computer training and education inIndia. Dr. singh has to his credit nearly 22 Research Papers and ARticles published in various outstanding Journals of repute; attended and actively participated in more than 15 regional, National Seminars, Conferneces and Workships. Life members and office bearers of some professional and academic associations and is a teacher and researcher in the field of Education. Dr. Singh has written more than 23 books in the language of Hindi and English. He has conducted more than 5 educational research projects and his areas of interest besides the present one are Education for rural people and Visually Handicapped, Psychology of Education, Research Methodology, Teacher Education, Technology of Teaching, School Administration and Supervision. He is memebr and advisor in many national and Internationa committees. Dr. Singh has visited so many countries, i.e., Japan in the year 2000-2001, Ching Mai University, Ching Mai, Thailand in the month of Dec. 2003 to attend Malaysia and Singapore to udnerstand their education system.
