Synopsis The basic importance of world peace for the survival of mankind is necessarily to be realized by every sensible person. Atomic weapons have posed terrible threat of annihilation to mankind. It is estimated that 20,000 megaton atom bombs have already been manufactured in our modern world while only one hundred megaton atom bombs are sufficient to reduce this earth to ashes. Wasting of money on preparation of human destruction should be used for the betterment of human happiness. Even at present there are some nations which are genuinely interested in peace. India's love for peace is rooted in its past. The present work is inspired by this very objective. It underlines the fundamental importance of world-peace in its introduction. Further it proceeds to discuss the Basis of Peace and finally presents the very utterances of Lord Sri Krishna, Yogi Aurobindo, M.K. Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Radhakrishnan and Morarji Desai (When he was the Prime Minister of India.)
