Overview for Animal Drugs: Introduction, Properties, Actions and Uses
This book mainly covers the second paper Part B(1) of Dravyaguna for B.A.M.S. student as per the CCIM syllabus. There are descriptions of twelve animal drugs, mentioned in this book. Objective of this book is to provide specific knowledge about the animal drugs to the B.A.M.S. students. The distribution of subject vix., synonyms, identification distribution, properties, actions, Dossage, chemical Constituents, specific Yoga and uses of drugs, makes the book more informative and easy to use. The synonyms of drugs have been arranged systematically in different languages as names in Sanskrit, Hindi, Farsi, Arabi, Unani, Marathi, Udia, English etc. So that there will be no difficulty for readers to find out any particular drugs on which information is required.
A special feature (with figure) which will not fail to attract attention is the inclusion of description of animal drugs, so for as they have been worked out. References to the listed drugs have been included.
C.S. Yadav (Author)
Dr. C.S. Yadav is born (in Dist- Varanasi, U.P.) on 08/07/1949. He did B. Sc. (Bio.) in 1969 from U.P. College, Varanasi (Gorakhpur University). He completed M. Sc. (Bot.) from Kanpur University, 1971, and Lt. from Basic Training College Varanasi (1973). He did Ph. D. from Sampurananand Sanskrit University in 1991.
The author had lot of teaching and research experience, published several research papers, articles in journals and news papers, attended several seminars and conferences. He published more than four books, since 1976, he joined as a Asst. Professor (Lect) fact of Ayurveda in Sampurnanad Sanskrit University, Varanasi, and continued on the same post in (Govt.) Ayurvedic College S.S. University Varanasi till date. He had lot of field experience regarding Indian Medicinal plants, he worked on administrative posts as head, warden, President (Games, several associations), N.S.S. officer. Author also had given Radio talks and given guest Lectures, at various prestigious institutes, in relation to the medicinal plants.
