Shreerupa Mitra is the executive director of The Energy Forum (TEF) She writes regularly on international affairs, including oil politics, the United Nations and its agencies, human rights, intellectual property, conflict zones and the World Trade Organization. She holds double master's degrees from the University of Chicago (Authropology) and the Delhi School of Economics (Sociology).

TEF is a New Delhi-based independent think tank that conducts intensive research and consults on a range of issues related to the energy sector, TEF's mission is to make significant contribution in pushing forward the conversation on the latest developments in this field, also by creating a network of partnerships worldwide. The canvas of TEF's work is global, With focus on the Indian energy space. Its members and collaborators include scientists, economists, policy experts, diplomats and academics. TEF's board of advisors is chaired by Dr Anil Kakodkar, a renowned nuclear scientist and a Padma Vibhushan awardee.
