MAST QALANDARS OF THE PENINSULA STUDIOUS
This is a story of 2 billion people of the peninsula, who live music, and their journey to the audiences they deserve.
In the winter of 2010 The Peninsula Studios* reached out and recorded 722 musicians from small villages and towns of Rajasthan. The Peninsula Studios* took the 3600 minutes of these recordings, evaluated it with 30 musicians then curated the content and mentored 17 musicians over three months in the summer of 2011. These musicians then created and recorded 10 great tracks which were mixed and mastered in London.
The Peninsula Studios* discovered the musicians and now bring this music to the world as the first edition of Discovering the Peninsula*. The Peninsula Studios* will bring in talent from many more destinations
