Dogri folk music represents a charming facet of the cultural heritage of India. While Pahari paintings are known throughout the world, Dongri music is still not widely propagated, Dr, Karan Singh, the well-known public figure, also happens to be a lover of music. In this audio CD he has presented nine Dogri bhajans, the lyrics for which he has written hilself or adapted from traditional sources. The words have also been set to music by him based upon folk tunes from Jammu, Kangra, Rajasthan and Nepal.

With their liltingtunes and deep devotion, these bhajans addressed to Lord Shiva, The Goddess, Sri Ganesha, Sri Krishna and Sri Hanuman, will be widely welcomed by devotees, Their appeal is enhanced by the fact that each bhajan is proceeded by a Sanskrit shloka dedicated to the deity.
