The Peddibhotals of Kakinada. On the east-coast of Andhra Pradesh are dedicated to the propagation of Homoeopathy, beginning with the grand father-Dr. Peddibhotla Subbaraydu Garu. This grand, old gentleman hand wooed two profession under the British rand and had excused himself in both professions. His father Sri P. Krishan Sastry Garu had worked 44 years in on European firm and retired as a director of the company-Ripley & Co. They were exporters and importers. Dr. P. Subbarayndu Garu had formed a free charitable, Homoeopathic Dispensary and run it for nearly three decades. His son had carried the demise of Dr. P. Subbarayndu Garu and when the great old man too had passed away his 2nd son and elder brother of the author of this book had carried the banner for the 3rd generation. The board of the dispensary might be hanging in the hall of the dilapidated old house; for no one of the younger generation of Peddibhotlas live, there now; say the author with a sigh of sadness. He recollects it with a sigh of chagrin on his old wrinkled face as the author has crossed his diamond Jubilee years.
