The whole work has been divided into four volumes. The very first volume deals with different types of nuclear test ban treaties and its implications for arms control and disarmament.

The next volume deals with the role and structure of the department of disarmament affairs, peaceful nuclear explosions as well as different treaties concerning nuclear arms control.
One of the most effective ways of dealing with nuclear weapons has been the conclusion of various strategic arms limitations/reduction treaties. The fourth and final volume of this encyclopedia includes all the relevant strategic arms reduction treaties.
