Synopsis SAARC is a small but significant organisation. Its importance lies in the strategic value of the region, where it has flourished. SAARC is a major step in a long march towards a United South Asia. Although, a distant dream at the moment, but its ultimate goal is the formation of a unified zone, on the pattern of European Union.
