R.K. Raghuram, a veteran of tourism profession, is working as an associate professor in the department of tourism and hospitality management for the last 15 years. He has extensive experience in researching and working with tourism in communities and has published widely in the areas of tourism planning, destination mange-ment, sustainable tourism, and ecotourism in rural areas, all with a strong community-based perspective.
Dr. Raghuram has conducted many seminars and conferences on sustainable tourism development. He is a visiting faculty to many famous universities, colleges and a wide range of private institutions. He also provides managerial advises to a large number of travel and tourism agencies. He has supervised many postgraduate students in research projects towards masters and PhDs, on a range of topics in the field of tourism and hospitality management.
