Overview for Clinical Veterinary Medicine-II
The subject matter presented in the manual is compiled as per the syllabus setup by the Veterinary Council of India in Veterinary Clinical Medicine-II for veterinary students. This practical manual provides detailed information regarding the methods used in clinical examination of herd/individual animals including history taking related to production disease of animals and laboratory for confirmatory diagnosis of disease. This manual covers all practical aspects of clinical examination of animal and most commonly used laboratory techniques (including ruminal fluid examination, CSF examination, bone marrow and lymph node biopsy, blood transfusion, enzymology and other biochemical parameters) for the diagnosis of metabolic/production diseases. All the methods are given in a very simple way to use directly in the laboratory by even under graduate students. In this manual, students are given a chance to use their mind in solving fundamental questions given at the end of each exercise, and interpret and correlate the results with clinical signs of the diseases, which can be an aid to the confirmatory diagnosis of disease. It will also be helpful for postgraduate students those are doing masters in veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Neelesh Sharma graduated in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry in 2001 from the College of Veterinary Science, Mhow (J.N.K.V.V., Jabalpur), M.P. He did M.V. Sc. In Veterinary Medicine in 2003 from college of Veterinary Science Anjora, Durg (I.G.K.V.V., Raipur), C.G. He was recipient of The Bronze Standard International Award by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. He has published more than 60publications in National and International journals. He is a member of various National and International scientific societies. He is recipient of Research Fellowship-2009 by Indian Academy of Sciences (Bangalore), Indian National Science Academy (New Delhi) and The National Academy of Sciences (Allahabad ). At present he is working as Assistant Professor, Division of Veterinary Clinical Medicine & Jurisprudence, F.V.Sc. & A.H., SKUAST-J, Pura, Jmmu.

Dr. S.R. Upadhyay is presently working as Assistant Professor, Division of Veterinary Clinical Medicine & Jurisprudence, F.V.Sc. & A.H., SKUAST-J, R.S. Pura, Jammu. The author is a graduate from Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur (P.K.V., Akola), M.S. and post graduate in veterinary Medicine from College of Veterinary Science Anjora, Durg (I.G.K.V.V., Raipur), C.G. The author has around 50 publications in various Journals of repute, is also recipient of award like INTAS young scientist award-2005 by ISVM, Young scientist award-2005 by Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of Chhattisgarh state and appreciation award-2005 by ISVm. He is an active member of various professional bodies like ISVM, NAVSc and SIIP.
