Synopsis The present monograph Samodhi (the facets of Bodh-Gaya) is the out come of Author's pragmatic thought and reverence on Bodh-Gaya, the Land of enlightenment of Tathagata the Buddha. An attempt is made here to narrate the history (nucleus) of the growth & development of Bodh-Gaya region prior to Lord Buddha's advent there, on the holy bank of niranjana and its subsequent growth & Developments as an important center of Buddhism and a place of pilgrimage to the Buddhist world over.
