The Rays & Esoteric Psychology

Zachary F. Lansdowne (Author)
Synopsis Esoteric psychology is primarily concerned with the soul, or self, which is the ensouling entity or integrating principle within the physical form. According to esoteric psychology, a human being consists of a personality, a soul, and a spirit. The personality has four aspects: the concrete mind, or mental body, the emotional body, the vital or energy body. The soul has two aspects: intuition and will, or purpose. The personality and soul are in turn animated and impelled by the spirit, which is the energy of life itself. These various aspects of the human being become integrated over time in a gradual and progressive manner. This book focuses on the process in which the personality becomes integrated with and dominated by the soul. It makes you aware that the soul has a particular quality of energy, known as a "ray". There are seven different rays and each human being is expressive of one or another of these rays. The soul's ray affects our strengths and weaknesses. In order to evolve along the spiritual path, it is necessary to understand the soul's ray and to integrate the four phases of the spiritual path. The book focuses on interpreting and explaining, "Techniques of Integration" for each ray. It is an easy-to-understand guidebook to self-observation, subjective guidebook to self-observation, subjective guidance, character building, emotional purification, meditation and service. Further it will help the modern readers to integrate the energy rays of the personality with the soul.
