Dr. B.P. Shrivastava, the author of this book is at present working as Librarian, Dr. H.S. Gour University, Sagar. He holds Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from Dr. H.S. Gour University, Sagar. He did his M.Lib.I.Sc. from Vikram University Ujjain, M.A. (Pol.Sc.) and M.Ed. from Sagar. He started his career as Librarian, G.S. Postgraduate College of Commerce and Economics, Jabalpur and Librarian, University College of Education, Sagar. Dr. Shrivastava is founder teacher of the Deptt. of Library and Information Science of Dr. H.S. Gour University. He is teaching for last thirty years. He is also co-ordinator of Library and Information Science and Mass Communication and Journalism of Distance Education of Dr. H.S. Gour University. He has been guiding Ph.D. in LIS and four candidates have been awarded Ph.D. in subject under his supervision. He is member of many academic societies. He has also contributed a number of research papers in many journals.
