Ada P. Kahn, Ph.D. is the award winning author of a wide range of health-related books including Stress A-Z, The Encyclopedia of Work-Related Injuries, Illnesses and Health Issues and Keeping The Beat: Healthy Aging Through Amateur Chamber Music Playing. She has co-authored many other books, including Facing Fears: The Sourcebook for Phobias, Fears and Anxieties, The Encyclopedia of Phobias, Fears and Anxieties, The Encyclopedia of Mental Health, Midlife Health, The A-Z of Women's Sexuality, and Empower Yourself. Ada has appeared on several international television programs and presented programs in bookstores and libraries and at organizational meetings in many cities. In addition to her several books, she has had extensive experience in writing health-related materials. She has worked with the American Medical Association, American Academy of Dermatology, Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, and Rush North Shore Medical Center, Skokie where she served as Manager, Community Health Education for 10 years. Ada has also worked for several public relations agencies and publishers in editorial capacities. She is a Fellow of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) a recipient of the AMWA President's Award, and has presented workshops and programs at more than 20 national AMWA conferences.
