This is once again the credit of Dr. Premnath Jain of M/s Jain Publishers of New Delhi, India, who approached me to publish my personsl notes, which were prepared during my academic career of my studies of B.H.M.S. (Degree Frogramme of Homoeopathy under the University of Calcutta) and as such in the said programme, one has to appear in a theoretical examination also, in Repertory for 200 marks. Virtually, I was in the first batch of such ever-appeared Homoeopathic Graduate from the University of Calcutta and also secured not only the Honours marks, but also the Highest Mark at the University and entitled for the Gold medal in Repertory. This book comprises the possible theoretical questions from Dr. Kent's and Dr. Boenninghausen's Repertories and systematically arranged in a question-answer form. Also the history and development of Repertory, process of repertorisations and evaluation of symptoms has been thoroughly enumerated as without a proper evaluation the right remedy can never be selected. I will appreciate any constructive suggestions towards betterment of my presentation and approach of the answer. While closing, I must convey my sincere thanks to Dr. P.N. Jain, Mr. Kuldip Jain and Mr. Ashok Jain for publishing this book; my wife Mrs. Moon Banerjea for her patience and encouragement and Mr. Sanjoy Das for typing the manuscript.

Subrata Kumar Banerjea

Dr. Subrata Kumar Banerjea was born in Calcutta, India in 1957, the fourth generation of a distinguished and widely respected homoeopathic family. He graduated in Homoeopathy from the University of Calcutta with a record number of honours passes in nine medical subjects and with five gold medals to his name, setting himself on a path to become an internationally acclaimed homoeopathic clinician, lecturer and author. He is now acknowledged to be the worlds leading authority on miasmatic prescribing. Dr. Banerjea is an Honoured Fellow of several academies; Director and Principal Lecturer of the Bengal Allen Medical Institute, Calcutta; Principal and Chief Lecturer of Materia Medica and Clinical Therapeutics at the Allen College of Homoeopathy, Essex, England. When he is not lecturing, he divides his time between his clinical practices in the UK and in India where he also acts as Clinical Consultant in various rural and slum clinics. Despite this hectic international scheduling, Dr. Banerjea together with his brother Joy and his partner Janet Robinson, plays an active role in the Kamala Banerjee Fund, a Charity which distributes milk to the poor children of Calcutta. Students of Dr. Banerjea will testify to the remarkable knowledge and enthusiasm which he generously imparts to all who share his passion for this most rational of healing arts. His dedication to the truth of homoeopathy is regarded as inspiring and unsurpassed.
