For the commonwealth games 2010, its good that efforts are being made by all needful departments but the finishing would be as per Indian style on the last day and last minutes. After all every one cannot be alike Sir Shobha Singh who lifted the foundation Pillar of Lutyen's Delhi from Burari to Raisina Hills overnight in a Bullockcart. The Yamuna site is not superb but if selected then devote self for that. Still projects could be subletted and could be given to Uttarakhand, may be shooting, one to Jharkhand in case success is desired. Let the tourists have vision of our life, write books and give new openings. The book contains development of Uttarakhand and architectural heritage of cities along with sketches. The environmental issues include global aspects including disaster tackling. Other issues taken are conservation aspects of plants, animals and monuments.

I. Mohan (b.1945) is a well-known Architect and Town Planner. He passed B. Architecture from Delhi School of Planning and Architecture in 1968 and then did diploma in town Planning. He has done a specialized course in urban renewal from University of Birmingham (U K.). He has exhibited his one-man show at Triveni Art Gallery. He has been associated with Delhi School of Planning and Architecture as visiting Lecturer. Currently he is serving as a Deputy Director in the Development authority. A Prolific writer, he has authored several outstanding books on various aspects of Town Fianning , environment etc. His latest book Environment Issues and Urban Development of Walled cities (1992, Mittal Publications) was widely acclaimed by professionals and general readers alike.
