Overview for Thiksey Monastery of Ladakh Himalaya
The practices of Buddhism throughout the world, and Ladakh in particular may appear to exemplify a faith of paradoxical dimensions. Therefore, as a scholar of Ladakh Studies, I decided to make a clear picture of Ladakhi gonpas before the readers, to help them to solve their questions, puzzles as well as insight picture about Buddhism. I started research work on Thiksey monastery in 2002. This book is the out come of my study over a long period of time in which history and culture of the monastry have been made. Now it would become a reference source on Thiksey monastry for Research scholars, teachers and tourists.
