Synopsis Biological factors are strongly associated with level of physical activity, even though it is not clear these factors actually cause physical activity to vary. Recent studies indicate the a substantial portion of physical activity may be explained by genetic as well as environmental factors. For the success of a physical education programmes, it is essential that professionals in physical education must be aware of the effect biological factors on physical activity and fitness. This book provides an overview and analysis of biological basis of physical education.
