In this series, we have made the scientific and psycho-historical investigation of sexual inversion. Our intention of publishing this book is only with a view to removing the ignorance regarding the subject of sexual inversion. Sexual inversion means sexual instinct turned by inborn constitutional abnormality towards persons of the same sex. It is, thus, a narrower term than homosexuality which includes all sexual attractions between persons of the same sex. It is only during the recent years that the phenomenon of sexual inversion has been recognized. Previously, it was not distinguished from homosexuality in general, and homosexuality was regarded as an unimportant episode and an act of grave insanity.
