Synopsis Four Fingers and Seventeen Nails is a cocktail of seventeen short stories depicting the metamorphosis of the modern, materialism-obsessed west vs the spiritualistic, value based, superstitious east. This peculiar melange has, every now and then, rendered momentous trivialities, which are stunning in terms of joy and pain, the two extreme points of our mental pendulum. However, in this new post-modern information age, people at both ends of the spectrum have been caught in the desire square of money, women, ingestion and power. The stories incorporate the element of chance, the fickleness of life and the twists and turns of fate, which turn losers into winners overnight and vice versa. The contrast, by design, is fascinating, scandalous and at times even appalling. Characterized by strong plots, the stories, though varying in content and pulse, share startling and stunning endings.
