Synopsis The Parsus arrived in India as a result of the exodus in the wake of the Arab conquest of their home land in the 8th century and settled down in the western coastal regions of Maharashtra and Gujarat. Though a miniscule minority they have distinguished themselves in every sphere of the public life of this country which they have as their new home and have contributed enormously to its progress and development. These great contributions which are out of all proportion to the size of the community prompt one to recall the Churchillian expression: never did so many owe so much to so few.
