Harphool Singh

Dr. Harphool Singh is a retired Chief Wrestling Coach of Directorate of Education Delhi (India) where he raised 240 National School Champions by securing 23 runners-winners trophies and produced dozens International, alongwith Judo champions. Moreover he produced other games champions also as he himself have been a all round champion (Volley-Ball, Basket-ball, Hockey, Wrestling, Badminton, Football, Table Tennis, Kabaddi, Throws etc.) and twice National Wrestling champion having Diploma of Wrestling and Physical Education. He represetned India in Indo-Russia test 1985, Pakistan 1985, Atlanta 1996 as well as Sydney Olympic 2000 as a Wrestling Coach and observer. He wrote about two dozen books on wrestling and other sports and was greeted and appreciated by FILA during Atlanta Olympic 1996 and was honoured during National school games and mostly in rural fairs. He has been a National and International Referee-Judge almost for 30 years. He established FIWA-Federation of International Wrestling Associations on the occasion of Independence day of India 15 August, 1996 with the consultattion of Late Dr. S.A. Pisolkar-grand father of soil wrestling to stage it on International level and organised two FIWA International Wrestling Gold Cups supported by FILA President Mr. MIlan Ercegan furnishing the International rules for aforesaid motto. As he devoted his whole life for the development of sports and sportsmen. after the publication of Encyclopaedia of Wrestling and Adhunik Mall Yuddh (600 pages) books and after observing Sydney Olympic 2000 he made up his mind to write a small book of 33 Olympic Games for the sake of backward, poor and small countries who are unaware of all the games so that they may be able to prepare their youngsters boys and girls for the Olympic Games.
