Sudhakar Chattopadhyaya

Dr. Sudhakar Chattopadhyaya is a prominent name among Indian historians. His academic profundity won him Premchand Roychand scholarship from Calcutta University in 1953. In the same year he was appointed as Professor and Head of the Department of Ancient Indian History and Culture at the Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan. His published works include Early History of North India, Traditional Values in Indian Life, Evolution of Hindu Sects up to the time of Samkaracarya and Racial Affinities of Early North Indian Tribes.
