Dr. Towqueer alam Falahi, (b. 1965, Kormatthu, Gaya, Bihar) after having received his early education form his village and then from Cherki, a town of Gaya district in Bihar, joined Jamiatul Falah, a renowned institution at Bilariaganj, Azamgarh (U.P.), from where, he obtained the degree of Al-Alimiah and Al-Fadilah in 1983, 1985 respectively. After that he came to Aligarh where he refined his learning, doing M.A. & M.Phil. in Arabic literature from the Department of Arabic, A.M.U., Aligarh. He completed his Doctorate on ‘The Holy Quran and Orientalists - Litrary Perspective’from the same Department. After obtaining the Doctorate, Dr. Alam joined as a Research Fellow and later on as a Research Associate in the said Department. On 11th of May, 1993, he joined the Faculty of Theology as a Lecturer in Sunni Theology. About ninety research papers have been published in various journals of far repute in India and abroad. More than a dozen of books have been written so far by the said scholar. “The Quranic Concept of War and Peace” is much helpful to remove the misunderstandings regarding Islam and its main sources and represents the true picture of the Quranic concept of War and Peace.
