Overview for India-China Relations: Dimensions and Perspectives
India and China are the emerging superpowers of the world and together they can make 21st century an Asian Century. Immense scope lies for both India and China for constructive partnership in various field. This book examines India-China bilateral relations from various angles including regional and global dimensions. The book describe and examines age-old cultural exchanges, shared perceptions during freedom struggles and post-Independence and post-Revolution concerns of the two countries. Border problem and Tibet factor are hurdles in way of India-China smooth relations. These problems require solution on lasting basis if bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries is to be promoted. Current trends and prospects of India-China relations are discussed in this context.
Bhawna Pokharna (Author)
Dr. Bhawna Pokharna teaches Political Science at Government Meera Girl's College, Udaipur. She did her M.A. in Political Science in 1993 and was awarded gold medal for standing first in the merit list. She completed her Ph.D. in 2001. She was awarded Junior Research fellowship by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi in December 1995. She has participated in national and international seminars/conferences and contributed papers in various books journals. She was awarded a Minor Research Project by UGC in 2004 which was successfully completed in 2006. At present she is working on a major UGC Research Project.
