He has to his credit a great number of awards, the most recent being Sikshavid Award (2003), Dr. Ambedhkar Ratna Award (2002), Meerut Ratna Award (1999), Sher-e-Punjab Award (1997). For the last several years he has been getting Ideal Teacher Award. At present, he is serving as a Librarian, NAS P.G. College, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
