Andrew V. Liddle

An Indian Police Service, Andrew Liddle retired as the Director General of Central Reserve Police Force in 1996. He has been collecting and studying Mughal coins (with a special focus on Akbar and Jahangir) for the last several decades. His first book Coins of Akbar: The Connoisseur's Choice was well received by numismatists and historians alike, all over the world.

He is the founder president of the Delhi Coin Society. He was honoured by the Society with Outstanding

Achievement Award in March 2012.
