K.N. Mishra (Author)
Synopsis

All Army training programs and provides oversight for several. The HQDA Director of Training, designated HQDA executive agents, and the TGOSC. These programs apply to both the Operating Forceand Generating Force. Consistent with the training management principles, as a general policy HQDAstrives to decentralize responsibilities for determining unit training requirements to the unitcommander, who is best postured to analyse the unit's mission, identify mission essential tasks, andplan training events maximizing training support system capabilities available to the unit. HQDAestablishes training requirements and program guidance when important to ensure a particular forcecapability, equity, or standard. DTMS can assist the commander/trainer in planning, resourcing andtracking individual and collective unit training tasks. Soldiers and Army civilians begin training the daythey enter the Army. They continue training until the day they retire or separate. Individuals train tobuild the skills and knowledge essential to a trained, expeditionary Army. Training prepares individuals, units, staffs, and their leaders to conduct full spectrum operations anytime and anywhere along thespectrum of conflict. This lifelong learning occurs in all three training domains-institutional,operational, and self-development-and involves self-assessment. It is hoped that the book will servethe purpose of students and scholars on the subject and can be useful to them in allied fields.
